Make-up tips for brides

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

Your wedding day will be one of the most important day of your life and all eyes will be on you so you want to make sure that you will look your absolute best. So organise time to prepare your skin in the 2 to 3 weeks before the wedding.

I would recommend that you:

Try and have a facial weekly,

Exfoliate twice a week,

Moisturise your face morning and night,

Use a lipbalm daily to keep your lips hydrated and soft,

Have your eyebrows waxed or tweezed by a professional,

Drink lots of water.

On the day:

Apply a makeup primer before your foundation to keep your makeup set and give your skin a healthy glow.

If you have combination to oily skin, keep blotting paper with you all day so you can quickly and easily re-touch your face if you get shiny. Blotting paper is sold by most major brands as well as chemists such as Boots and Superdrug.

I would also recommend to use a longlasting lipcolour or to blot your lipstick to help it keep in place for longer.

Good luck ! x
